The Inline Laser Marking Machine enables fast, direct, and contactless marking on PCBs — ideal for SMT production lines.

Equipped with a precision X/Y gantry, the laser system marks solder resist surfaces with barcodes, data matrix codes, serial numbers, or logos. The PCB is automatically conveyed to the marking area, where the laser executes high-speed marking at the pre-programmed coordinates — ensuring accuracy, traceability, and seamless integration with inline workflows.
No matter the material — solder resist, metal, plastic, or ceramic — Vanstron offers the optimal laser solution for every application. Whether it’s CO₂, UV, or fiber laser, the system is adaptable to meet your production needs with precision and reliability.

Marking Quality
Vanstron’s inline marking system is equipped with a high-resolution camera that captures images both before and after marking. This enables automatic contrast comparison to detect missing, incomplete, or low-contrast markings — ensuring zero-defect quality control.

The integrated 2D code reader instantly decodes and verifies the marked content based on industry standards.

With intelligent graphic algorithms and robust database support, the system performs multi-level evaluation of QR code quality. It is precisely calibrated against Keyence scanners to ensure flawless accuracy in grading — making it a trusted solution for traceability-critical production environments.

It has a bright pattern with dark background, so it has good contrast ratio and good scan rate. The marking quality is excellent because the size of the marking DOT and the margin are the same(equidistant interval).

Bad Contrast Example – barcode on Red PCB

Most scanners use red LEDs for lighting. At this time, the red PCB strongly reflects the red LED, so the brightness difference between the barcode and the PCB color is reduced, resulting in a lower scan rate. If you are marking on a red PCB, the reading rate can be improved by using white illumination. However the reading rate may drop if other colors are going to be used under the same illumination. Therefore, it is very important to check the colors of the boards that are going to be used at customer’s site in advance.
